How do I get started?

If your bank offers Wero, it’s already available in your mobile banking app! You may need to update your banking app to the latest version. Just check your mobile banking app or sign-in to your online banking site and follow a few simple steps to create your Wero profile. You can find a list of member banks offering Wero

Wero aims to make it simpler for people and merchants in Europe to send money, pay and get paid. You can send, request and receive money directly into your account with just a phone number, no long IBAN required. We’ve just made chipping in for your colleague’s leaving present a whole lot easier.

At its launch in mid 2024 Wero has partnerships with the major banks in Belgium, France and Germany, and allows people to send and receive money between friends and families who are customers of those banks in those countries. We plan to add the Netherlands in 2025, and more countries after that. We will also be expanding the functions available in the Wero digital wallet so you will be able to pay for goods, services and subscriptions, both online and instore. Stay tuned for updates!
